Attention Brothers and Sisters of Gas Workers Local 18007,
As we kick off the New Year, it’s time to refresh our look. We are looking for a brand-new design to feature on
our 2026 Union Gear (shirts, hoodies, hats, and stickers), and we want that design to come directly from the
membership. This is your chance to leave your mark on Local 18007. We’re looking for a logo that represents
our pride, our grit, and our dedication to keeping the energy moving.
Contest Details
- The Challenge: Create an original logo design for Gas Workers Local 18007.
- Eligibility: Open to all active members in good standing and their immediate families.
- Deadline: All entries must be submitted by [Monday, February 9th].
- Designs will be voted on at the February 12th Membership Meeting by the membership.
Design Guidelines
While we want you to be creative, please keep the following in mind:
- Themes: Unity, natural gas infrastructure, Chicago/local pride, and “Local 18007.”
- Versatility: The design should look good on both dark and light apparel.
- Simplicity: Try to limit the design to 3–4 colors to ensure high-quality screen printing.
The Prize
The winning designer will not only see their work worn by the entire membership but will also receive:
- A $250 Amazon Gift Card
- Recognition at the next General Membership Meeting and in the Union newsletter.
