Brothers and Sisters,
As we move forward into 2026, the stakes for our Local have never been higher. We are currently operating under a microscope, and it is critical that we rise to the occasion. Now, more than ever, we need to show this company that we are the only workforce capable of completing the I.C.C. mandate in the City of Chicago safely and efficiently.
Your Executive Board has been working tirelessly, behind the scenes and at the table, to secure this work and protect the future of this Local. We are doing our part to ensure that every mile of pipe and every service call remains in the hands of union labor. However, it takes all of us.
The work we do is the backbone of this city’s infrastructure. To protect our jurisdiction and our future, we need to be visible, we need to be professional, and we need to be out of the truck and working. Our productivity and our safety record are our strongest bargaining chips. Let’s leave no doubt in the company’s mind that this work belongs to Local 18007.
