May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, and it serves as a vital reminder that our strength isn’t just measured by what we can do with our hands, but how we are doing in our heads.
In our line of work, the pressure can be high and the conditions demanding. We want to be clear: your mental health is just as important as your physical safety. Checking in on your brothers and sisters isn’t just a kind gesture; it’s part of our culture of looking out for one another. If you are struggling, please know that you are not alone, and there are resources available through the union to support you.
Field Safety:
While we focus on internal well-being, we cannot lose sight of our physical environment. We have an increase in work across the board, and with that comes increased risk.
Reminder: The use of mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times while in the field.
Whether it’s high-vis vest, hard hats, or eye protection, these tools are the last line of defense between you and a life-altering injury. PPE is Non-Negotiable,
Let’s make sure every member goes home in the same condition they arrived. Watch your six, and wear your gear.
