Mike McDonagh is a proud graduate of the Dawson UMAP program and graduated in the 4th cohort. He was then hired at Peoples Gas in 2013 as a base Utility Worker. He is a 3rd generation union member. He has been a part of the Peace Team and helped by observing our members to help keep injuries down within the membership.

In 2019 he was promoted to Journeyman UW and held that title for 2 years. He was then promoted to UW Lead position in 2021. He then ran for union steward in 2022 and won the election unopposed. In 2023 he ran for a Trustee Board seat and won where he proudly serves the brothers and sisters of UWUA local 18007 today. Mike was also given the opportunity to represent young workers on the National Young Workers Committee, as he has been appointed to proudly represents the young workers of Local 18007 as he helps move the goal post for young workers needs and concerns.
