Promotions & Upgrades we have fought for are here!

Brothers and Sisters, The Executive Board has worked hard to get promotions/upgrades for Local 18007. Last year, there was a lot of movement from Utility Worker to Journeyman and we will keep up the momentum with more classes scheduled in this year. In 2020, there will be Crew Leader promotions and I’m happy to report for the first time ever, there will be Utility Worker Lead promotions. The company is not going to hold our hand to prepare us for these upcoming promotions. If you know you will be in a promotion class, put forth your best effort and if you need experience in a particular department, reach out to your supervisor to ask for a ride along to get the appropriate training. I realize sometimes we are comfortable in our day to day job, but I ask you to challenge yourself to strive for bigger and better opportunities for your future and the well-being of your family.
