The Local has received notice that all seasonal project workers will be laid off on December 16

The Local has received notice that all seasonal project workers will be laid off on December 16, 2019 and will be returning January 6, 2020. I have continuously requested in meeting after meeting that the company hire all project workers to be full-time employees. This request has been denied every time by the company. The union board will continue to push and stay consistent with this request for all project workers to be full-time but unfortunately at this time the company does not want to go this route and we have been unable to make progress on this issue, not for lack of trying. If there are any further updates they will be posted.
