1. The “Ducky Open” Golf Outing
We are gearing up for the annual Ducky Open! This is more than just a day on the course—it is a vital opportunity to support Mental Health and Suicide Awareness. Whether you are a scratch golfer or just want to join us for the evening meal, we would love to see you there.
- When: August 1st
- Where: Water’s Edge Golf Club, Worth, IL
- Purpose: Supporting Mental Health and Suicide Awareness
- Details: Join us for a full day of golf or join the group for the dinner program.

2. Official Union Merchandise Now Online
For the first time, you can now purchase official Local 18007 merchandise exclusively through our website.

- Shipping: All items are shipped directly to your home.
- Updates: We are starting with a select inventory, but stay tuned as more sizes and new merchandise styles will be added soon.

3. September Membership Meeting & Mental Health Initiative
Our September meeting will focus on the well-being of our members. Local 18007 Mental Health Committee is proud to host a special presentation from SHFT, Chicago’s first mental health urgent care center and a dedicated partner of Local 18007.
About SHFT: SHFT provides immediate, same-day support and evidence-based therapy for those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or everyday stressors. Their services include:
- Urgent mental health assessments and medication management.
- Single-session chats and individualized therapy (short-term or ongoing).
- Flexible care available both in-person and virtually.
- Insurance Coverage: SHFT accepts United Healthcare insurance, making these professional services more accessible to our members.
Important Schedule Note: Immediately following the conclusion of the regular September Membership Meeting, we will host an Open Mental Health Meeting. This session is open to all 18007 members who wish to learn more about the resources available or discuss these important topics in a supportive environment.
